Installation

In my project, I did installation and commissioning of the following devices, and the steps I had followed while doing the installation part and the things I did to troubleshoot the problems I have encountered while doing the same are explained step by step in my blog. To evident my work I have also included screenshots of the settings I selected along with the pictures captured by my own camera after following the steps and also explaining all the available options in the devices. Below, I have also inserted links to the posts related, just by clicking, it will direct you towards the post for detailed information.
This, concludes the installation and commissioning part with all the necessary details.

Research and Development:

After completing the installation, I applied some Research and development techniques on the finished set up to get email alerts from the NVR itself if any motion is detected on the secure area like server rooms and safes in a house.

Below are the settings I applied to the NVR along with the result I got after completing those settings.

At first, I created an event and selected the area, I wanted to monitor. for this I did the following settings:

ENTER > EVENT > MOTION DETECTION > SELECT CAM NO (I selected CAM1) > ENABLE SELECT AREA (I selected the area to be secured) > APPLY

After selecting the area. in the next step, I created a schedule keeping in mind the time when the area is most vulnerable. Steps followed for this are:

ARMING SCHEDULE > SELECT > CONTINUOUS (For continuous recording) > SELECT ALL > APPLY.

Then, I selected some linkage actions out the various options available:

After clicking LINKAGE ACTION, a new window appeared to select the alerts and actions needed when an intrusion occurs in that area. The window showed some actions under Normal linkage like Full-screen motions, Audible Warning, Notify Surveillance, Send E-mail and Upload capture Pic, Out of them I checked 1,4,5 option that is Full-screen motion, Send Email and upload capture pic and saved those settings.

Finally, for sending E-mail, an Email ID was needed to be set, for this. I did a few more settings.

Open NVR > SYSTEM > NETWORK > ADVANCED > E Mail > ENABLE SERVER AUTHENTICATION

List of details was asked to fill, I filled them as:

1. USER NAME: monaajk@gmail.com (any Email ID)
2. PASSWORD: *********** (Email Id's Password)
3. SMTP SERVER: smtp.gmail.com (by default)
4. SMTP PORT: 587 (by default)
5. ENABLE SSL/TLC: Enable (Check)
6. SENDER: NVR (Any name)
7. SENDER ADDRESS: mpsingh@gmail.com (Any 2nd Email ID)
8. SELECT RECEIVER: RECEIVER 1
9. RECEIVER: NVR MOTION
10. RECEIVER ADDRESS: monaajk@gmail.com (First Email ID)
11. ENABLE ATTACHED PICTURE: Enable (Check)
12. INTERVAL: 2 (minutes)

Once I did all the settings, I knowingly did some motion in the selected area below is the screenshot of the Emails I got.
